[she's gonna push him back into the swamp so help her...]
In. Hell. [hm. well. knowing what she knows about karlach and what she can guess, this already sounds a little bad actually.] Sounds about right though. It can never be that easy. [...] Did she say why she was being held there to begin with? Were you guys able to free her?
Yep. Lots of fire. Very on theme for a devil boss, I guess.
...He did say something about this place though. How our souls already belonged to the cultists, so he didn't care about taking them. Not very comforting to hear, but it made him offer the deal in the first place.
[she's nodding along because this all makes complete sense until suddenly it does not. hold on. hold the fuck up.]
Our souls already belonged to the cultists? How's that possible when we're still alive and the sacrificial ritual hasn't started yet? I guess maybe he wouldn't really know, huh. [she says, mostly because she isn't sure they would've had time to ask and to save you from having to answer if there's no answer.]
Then again it could just be because we're stuck here. But if it worked in the end maybe we can't worry about that too much either.

She didn't say why, but a ton of people were trapped there too. So I figure she must have signed a contract like the others.
[at that, he pauses.... and then he nods]
Yeah. She said hell's gonna be her house now. The House of Hope.

The House of Hope...[less bad, maybe.] But that was only after you killed the original boss, I take it. Which...is where all of the burns came from?
explodes you
