[ it probably was because he's a fucking wimp about scary things, which lavi has probably seen written on him in ink at some point this week — the dark and being alone at night have both showed up at various times, much to his chagrin. (along with waking up covered in leeches, being humiliated, and dying a virgin again. anyway.)

BUT it's the lesser of two evils. unstable teen with a gun is definitely the more immediate threat. ]

Aside from the mess during trial, I think... that was probably the best way it could have ended. As herself, with her friends, in full agreement. And it was probably better not to drag it out.

[ we're at the pavilion and he is SO relieved and happy to see all these stores that as soon as he spots lavi he's running over to throw his arms around his shoulders for an involuntary hug.

this is like, the sole cursed hug he's giving today that's actually matched up reasonably with the emotions he's projecting. ]

I'm shocked that we still get to have one! I really thought we'd get a haunted zoo or something.

[ well. he's used the supplies alfyn left behind to get fixed up as much as he can without resorting to the swamp, and he's showered in the good npc shower (as usual!!! he uses the sink here in the house but he's only used the shower like five times ever!!) to wash away the blood and sludge and smoke smell. and now he's just lying on his futon in their room, staring at the ceiling. ]

[Lavi's footsteps in this creaky ass house will probably announce his arrival well before he actually pops into their room. He looks down at Totty stretched out at the futon, and then squats down next to him, holding up a plate.]
