It's a decisive move, and one he can respect, and then LAIOS PUTS HIS HEAD BACK ON?????]
To get rid of the Winged Lion before it consumes everything. It was the source of the dungeon and if that breaks open, that means monsters will get to the surface. Assuming the demons don't get to everyone first.
