Lavi is seated, but not currently actually eating, so he's just taking up valuable space... rather, his back is turned to the table, legs slung over the bench so he can take in the room as people come and go. he straightens when he sees marina... new person... and more importantly... pretty girl....]

Yup! I go by Junior too. [what a name] There's not much to do today, so I'm just hanging around the cafe bothering whoever comes by.

Looks can be deceiving... but I guess it's not traditionally bound.

Age-old tomes like this are called "skin bibles." They're bound in human skin... usually containing information about the old gods to help with utilizing their power.

One day that book's going to grow legs and walk off on its own, it'll be tired of us all groping it.

Academic interest mostly. What you raise is more of... a ghoul. Not a perfect product... they aren't the same as when they died.

If anything... it's a way of surviving when you're woefully out-numbered.

Handwriting's all mucky, though. It's a bit hard to copy bad handwriting letter for letter. Especially when it's all illegible.
