It really doesn't let you play that long with it! It's a shame!

[ she was really... really hoping maybe she could figure something out, but man her head hurts just recalling what happened so. ]

One day that book's going to grow legs and walk off on its own, it'll be tired of us all groping it.

[ looks back at him like what and you didn't? ]

Handwriting's all mucky, though. It's a bit hard to copy bad handwriting letter for letter. Especially when it's all illegible.

But you're not wrong. Maybe if we committed to it... we could probably get it done slowly but surely. Even if it's just a few of us.

[ what halo i only see HORNS. ]

I'm pretty used to copying scripture and such from my time in Vatican City. I think between the both of us we could make a damn good copy. Just a matter of procuring the materials to do so.

[ we are going to be fucked so hard by this bible that is probably totally unimportant but it's all we've got!!! ]

No. I was a student, invited by the ministry to study in Vatican City. Myself and others who could utilize magic.

But I left - had to go back home for something.

Yes. Primarily they worship Alll-mer, but encourage study of other gods by their students.

[ folding her arms a bit ]

Tradition dictates you affiliate yourself with a god to start with. From there, I dabbled a bit with a few others as I grew.

[ funger jesus is literally a weird anti-christ so... it's very different. and it's not. ]

Well... he's one of two prominent human-born gods, and scripture states he was the god of the new world order, of strength - the savior of mankind.

[ hums ]

He has a couple of different beginnings according to two separate sources, but they all convene at the same conclusions. Born human, died, rose to become a god and seated himself as the center of worship.

He's only the center of his own particular worship - so only those who worship Alll-mer regard him as their epicenter.

[ tapping fingers against the small book in her hands, thinking... ] The God of Fear and Hunger. That book that came with me - it's a bible relaying her story. Same circumstance of a false god and chosen human. They bore forth a powerful soul that resided in a young girl, who would then live in the darkest depths and would never be exposed to hope or light. There, in despair and hunger, she was brought to the heart of darkness and ascended to her godhood.

She's a unique god, sad, though. A protector of the abandoned... a mover of the world, ushering in a whole new era. She's a lesson about how all progress comes at a steep price - hardship. Hunger. Our of our own fear... the courage to persist.

Little bit of both. She's a reminder to watch for the little things in the dark - rats, vermin, rot. She shows that even a severed part still has a will to be weilded when you're back into a corner.

[ glancing downwards: ]

Nothing should go to waste, nothing should be discounted on the climb back out from the depths.
