History is more fluid than you think, Lavi-dono. With the right actions, events can be rewritten, or erased entirely. It's dangerous, but that's why touken danshi like myself fight.

Exactly like that. Part of our master's power lets them send us to the periods being targeted by the History Retrograde Army to stop them before history is changed too much.

We've never seen their leaders, though, so it's very possible that some humans are involved and we just haven't met them.
