Fog showed up and took us to a place called Avernus. It's one of the Hells from Karlach's world, I think. We were trapped there until we found someone named Hope, and she said she could help us if we broke her out.
Which we tried to do, but then the boss guy showed up and said we could free Hope, or we could get information about the cult. Majority voted for Hope, so we ended up killing him.
So... it's not so much that people's enemies are appearing here, as it is.... trials? But in different people's memories? [ she's saying this to herself more than him ]
Some of it, yeah. There was a part where we had to fight our mirror-selves too.
[it was truly a quest...]
The weird part was that Raphael -- the boss -- he talked about how our souls already belonged to the cult, so he wasn't interested in keeping us. So it was like a memory... but at the same time -- he was aware of what was going on? I dunno.
[maybe cyoa flavor text but it also freaked him out]
[ she goes quiet, sidling a little closer to him ]
.... It sounds like a trial. I went through something like that, but it was... I guessed, based on my own memories. I think it's supposed to be some kind of bullshit where you face your past trauma and current fears, or.... whatever. Mine had to do with my own memories. But maybe it's got to do more with Gale, Astarion, and Karlach. And I don't think there's any one of us that isn't.... well, a bit afraid of not making it out of here, I guess. That we really do belong to a cult.
[ she trails off, kind of embarrassed she talked that long ]

[ coming close to hang out ]

Are you saying I have to be injured to get smoking hot babes to look at me...?

[ she sits up beside him, checking him over with a bit of worry despite the light words ]
no subject
I'll remember that for next time.
[peeks at her.... he sees the worry]
I know, I know. I look awful. Worst I've ever looked. Ever.
no subject
[ but yeah. she is looking. ]
Do I need to do those? [ she has some bandage strips but aaa ]
no subject
S'fine. All my wounds just look bad -- they're actually pretty shallow, 'cept for my head. But I just need rest for that.
no subject
[ but she sounds deeply unserious..... she is going to check the worst of it, though. if she needs to put some extra bandaging ]
What happened to you?
