[hi daniel... maybe you're passing by the theater just keeping to yourself.... except now there's a redhead approaching like he's about to start a pokemon fight if the fight was conversation]
Hey!
[HI THErE]
Have you run into Karma yet? Kid with red hair, about your height?
He's pretty into eyepatches. In a 'taking them off and seeing what's under them' kinda way. And I don't think a 'no thanks' really works on him either.
Lavi is looking at these posters like he's thinking of ripping them off and getting more papercuts again, like an idiod. Though his concentration breaks when he notices his fellow eyepatch, Daan.]
[ He is here just having dropped off his evidence. Where, you may ask. I have no clue where we are putting them, they're somewhere. Near the pyre I guess? ]
The barn by the ranch was in a state -- some kind of fight definitely happened there... and a major injury. Found the sickle and axe both displaced. I was able to bring them back... they don't show any signs of trying to go back to their original place, at least for now.
[ Bookman I... hey dude. Daan seems to just be doing whatever, rulebook open in one hand and writing something on a paper with the other, but he snaps the book shut when Lavi comes around and he just glances up at him.
[thank you i am too deep in the ocean of memshares and playing my saddest playlist
Lavi blinks as the memory recedes, as the exhaustion that was his and not his seeps away from his body, because it's his body now, and if he had to pick one thing about these memory shares that he liked, then he'd pick how vivid they are. he can't help it, it's the recorder in him.
but the rest? he looks over at Daan, expression not really surprised -- but questioning, like someone who really wants to know the next part, because it couldn't just end on such a dismal, exhausted note --]
[hi daan lavi will limp on over to him once he sees him... the vibes are so bad and lavi's expression reflects that, from what little can be seen with all the bandages on his face still, but]
[ Sorry for all these non-verbal starters but like, you know . . . he's just out here somewhere. Staring into the dirt like maybe he'll just become one with that and letting embers fall off the end of a cigarette in his fingers. ]
A winding, two-mile trail horseshoeing (with plenty of twists and turns) from the camp back to the camp once more. Strange, unnatural footprints are sometimes left in the dirt, mud, and brush along the trail. Trickling water can be heard, but none can be found. Dancing lights off in the trees tantalizingly try to pull hikers from the trail. If anyone wanders away from the path, they become lost for several hours before finding themselves once more on the trail, dazed and unable to remember how long they have been missing. Periodically, a whispery and waifish voice demands for hikers to “return The Slab” from somewhere in the distance. It can take hikers anywhere from thirty minutes to several hours to traverse the entire trail, and often even those hiking together feel as if the time they have spent on the trail differs.
He looks tired and rather unhappy when he finally sees Lavi. You can read his mind...
Should've learned my lesson... always get put on crazy long hikes when I'm least expecting to go on one. Maybe I should just start wearing hiking shoes as my default? ]
Have you been wandering this trail long, or did you just get here?
[ He in the cabin... in his empty little assigned room. Safe space!
He has a bunch of shit lying around him on the bed, including damp bloody cloths, bandages, and maybe perhaps extremely normally, what appears to be a spine. He barely reacts when Lavi enters, but jerks his head no at the question.

Is it because it keeps disappearing that more are interested in seeing it? At least read the sign...
