Adventure. Like the one Bixing and the others went. 'Cept this one was borrowed from Harrow and Gideon's world. And it was less puzzle and more... ritual. We saw people we knew from our world. Had to kill them, or die.

How did you know it was theirs? Just from their descriptions?

Descriptions, plus emotions. I could hear their voices sometimes, what they were feeling while they said it.

Got all jumbled up towards the end, but it was like that in the beginning. I'm thinking that if it can happen to them, then it can happen to us too.

I killed mine. But it didn't change anything -- Hunter and Itto's souls were absorbed by their loved ones', and I absorbed mine. That's why they looked different, and I didn't.

So how did you end up like this? Did that person put up a fight, or did you all just disappoint whoever was running the thing?

...I think it was set up so that no matter what we did, it would follow the memory. I know I said we had autonomy, but only so much?

There was an enemy we had to fight at the end, which we could because we were more powerful after having our souls merged. But she was kind of like... an event. We didn't get to see whoever was behind all of it.

What sort of enemy was she? Something like a demon, or...?
