What a sorrowful thing, too. To feel that there's nowhere else to go and nothing else to do. To have sanctuary and people willing to protect you, and to feel like your duty still lies beyond their arms. That Lavi chose to follow her isn't a surprise to him, even if his apparent lack of understanding as to where that desire came from is.
